With over 17 years experience in the aged care sector, and over 100 contracted hours per week across Canterbury, our physiotherapy team provide the best possible care for your residents. We have extensive knowledge of aged care, dementia care and Health NZ systems and come from a geriatric medicine, rather than sports, background. We work closely with your nursing and medical team to priortise need and provide realistic management plans for residents.  We support your care staff with safe transfer and mobility advice, that respects the aged care environment.

We also offer consultant and SME advice on general physiotherapy policy and procedure in aged care, moving and handling programmes, falls prevention, frailty prevention and staff training. We are often called upon to provide input and advice at a national level and are strong advocates for physiotherapy services in aged care.
