We recognise that for older adults it is often difficult to travel to a physiotherapy clinic and the most meaningful treatment can be undertaken at home. Our highly experienced physiotherapists work with you and your family to plan and provide treatment in the manner that best suits you.More About Us
The Physiotherapists at On the Go Physio have a wealth of experience in working with people with Parkinson’s disease, including being the first service in New Zealand to offer the LSVT BIG programme. We offer set programmes to help improve movement and mobility or can look specifically at whatever issues you may be having.
Falling (or fear of falling) can lead to loss of confidence and restriction of daily activities for an older person. Whether it is many falls or just one serious fall, it is essential to work actively to regain mobility and confidence as soon as possible. Evidence shows that greater confidence in mobility is associated with fewer falls and better quality of life.
The physiotherapists at On the Go Physio are highly experienced in working with people with neurological conditions. Regardless of diagnosis, every person is an individual with their own set of circumstances in terms of their family, their home, their occupation, their culture.
On the Go Physio offer regular courses in Moving and Handling as well as courses for Physiotherapy Assistants and other Physiotherapists. You can see what we have coming up or request a course designed just for you.
We are excited to be updating our trainings to directly support NZQA standards in 2018. We can also offer Careerforce assessor services for many unit standards.
Our experience with On the Go could not have been better. Their team is professional as well as friendly... Their knowledge about and referral to the other services he needed, such as orthotics and occupational therapy was invaluable. They were even able to help us access some of the services we were entitled to from the DHB. We would be glad to recommend On the Go Physio to others.-
Working with On the Go Physio has been excellent. They have contacted me as needed and sent videos so I could see progress. They have been a great comfort to me living so far away. I cannot recommend On the Go Physio more strongly.-Family Member
Good training day today. Rebecca was great. Probably the best MH training I have been to and that is saying something as I have attended a lot!-
I can't emphasise the importance that your course has had to my clinical practice and it has made me much more confident that I am more fully meeting my PD clients' needs.-
The service your organisation has provided has been ideal for someone recovering from a knee or hip replacement. I have appreciated being able to stay at home and have the physio call. Jessie has provided just the right mix of empathy and professional experience-Allison Wilson
Colin and I have been delighted with Rachel and how she has been working with the different exercises for cervical dystonia. She is lovely to have in the house and we feel makes a difference.-Loma Johnson
I engaged On The Go Physio for my father, who moved to a residential care home after a severe stroke. On The Go Physio are always kind and patient with him, and also provided very good advice about extra therapy tools and techniques.-Yannina Whiteley
